Rosa nodded. She was so happy! She had found a way to beat water in defensve spells! Thinking, she decided that doing the whit-hot fire again might work. It did turn the other water to steam.... She sent a white hot fire wall to Reiyn, and when it reached her, the fire turned into a hollow sphere, with Reiyn inside. The sphere slowly started to shrink.

Reiyn smiled. She closed her eyes and started to spin, slowly at first, then faster. Around her, ice started to form. As the ice encircled her, it grew. Soon, it had encircled the sphere of flames. Reiyn's eyes opened, and the sphere, now frozen, broke into 3 pieces. Reiyn landed next to the largest piece. "Again, well done, Rosa. Come. Look at this." Reiyn said. She pointed to the broken pieced. Within the layers of ice, the flames were frozen. Their outline was visible through the ice.

Rosa looked at it. "Cool... I didn't think that was even possible.." Oh well... She had to think of a worthy next offense. She looked at a nearby slab of rock. That gave her an idea. She used her fire to melt several rocks around her, so it became like lava. Then, as she was able to control the lava, she sent it flowing towards Reiyn. When it got to about 3 feet away from Reiyn, it stopped, and rose into the shape of another wolf. Then the fire-wolf lunged toward Reiyn.

Reiyn darted to the left and dodged the fire-varg's attack. She sent her spirits to surround the fire-varg, but this time she was part of their circle. Reiyn focused all of her energy and, the spirits doing the same, sent blast after blast of freezing water at the fire-varg. Slowly, it started to turn back into stone, but still keeping the shape of a varg. Reiyn and her spirit-clones focused on the creature's paws, turning them into stone before doing the same to the rest of the varg. Once it was stone again, Reiyn turned back to Rosa. "Very nice. Effective. I will give you a few minutes to rest before we begin the combative part of your test. That will consist of two spells, both as powerful as you can make them. You will be fighting using only your spells. The varg that you shall battle is me. I will meet you back here in 30 minutes time. I suggest that you rest. The more energy that you have, the better." she said. Reiyn turned and walked back into one of the many tunnels that led out of the cavern.

Rosa sat down on the cave floor. She thought that the lava-attack was good. She needed to rest before the combative spells.

Reiyn returned after the time had passed. "Please ready yourself, Rosa." she said. Turning her head to Tsu, who had entered behind Reiyn, she said, "On your count Tsu."
"5....4....3....2....1....begin" Tsu said. She watched as Reiyn attacked.
Reiyn's spirits surrounded Rosa yet again. Reiyn herself hovered above them all, in the center of the circle, directly above Rosa. All of them sent sharp spheres of ice at Rosa. Reiyn, however, created a dome around the top of their battlefield. To escape, Rosa would have to break through 7 or 8 layers of ice.

Rosa created a circle of fire around her that melted each shard of ice that came near it. The citcle expanded, so Rosa would have more room to maunever. Realizing that the spirit-wolves would probably not be affected by fire, Rosa sent fireballs directly to Reiyn.Meanwhile, the circle continued to expand, close and closer to the spirit-wolves and Reiyn.

The spirits didn't react to the fire. Reiyn, on the other hand, noticed it coming. As the spirits continued throwing razor-sharp ice shards at Rosa, Reiyn send a tidal wave over the flames, extinguishing them.

Rosa cursed silently to herself. She thought of a new plan. Instead of hurling fireballs at Reiyn from in front of her, Rosa added a point to throw fireballs from behind Reiyn, and then got rig of the previous one. As for the spirits, she stopped the gobe of fire slightly in front of them. Rosa created a globe of white-hot fire at the ice, which instantly melted the first layer of ice, which fell to the ground as a light rain.

Reiyn nodded. "Nice work so far Rosa." She then proceded to continue reinforce the layers of ice as well as command her spirits to start turning the ring of fire into steam.

Every time one ring of fire turned to steam, Rosa sent another one. Then she sent an envelope of fire from behind Reiyn and formed a barrier around her. Suddenly, however, Rosa felt fatigued. She collapsed on the cave floor.
