Tsu continued walking into the small cavern, eyes slowly adjusting to the dimness.
Reiyn moved towards another entrance, looking slightly confused. "I don't remember this being here... ever..."

"Nor me," said Kai. "I didn't even realize this was here........."

"Hnn..." Tsu muttered. "There seems to be nothing in there, just what seems to be an empty storage space."
"Yeah, same over here. You find anything, Kai?" Reiyn called from another storage-cavern.

"Uhhh..." Kai said, in the third cavern. "I think you'd better come over here..." Kai stared down at the... thing... before her. "I have no clue what this is..."

Tsu, brow creased, spread her wings and flew towards Kai. She landed gracefully on the ledge and waited for further commands from Reiyn.
"Kai. Back up a bit. There's about five feet of ledge behind you, so don't worry about falling." Reiyn called as she landed as well.
"Reiyn. Want me to go see what it is?" Tsu asked, wings folding.
"Yeah. You're not only the smallest one of us all, you've got the best sight." Reiyn replied, peering into the darkness.

Kai backed up about three feet, looking behind her to make sure there was still a considerable amount of ledge behind her. "I don't trust it," She muttered, "It doesn't seem good." Kai didn't know why she thought this, and even if Reiyn or Tsu had asked, she couldn't explain her feelings.

Reiyn's brow was also furrowed in confusion. "See anything, Tsu?" she asked, orbs narrowed slightly in her worry.
"Yeah. There's something-someone-somewhatever in here! It looks like a varg, but it's not." Tsu called back. Though her eyesight was great, Tsu could not see what the creature truly was. "Hey, Reiyn? You want to take a look at this?"
Nodding, Reiyn stepped foward. Tsu moved to stand near Kai so Reiyn could see.
Reiyn gasped. "This is the statue! My parents told me of it, but they said that it was just a legend!" Cranium turned towards Tsu and Kai. "This... this is the ancient statue of Tor." Head swiveled back to read the inscription carved into the bottom of the statue.
Sono jikoku ankoku chikai, datte tsuujite sore ichi mune raivu, soshite sore senpou izure mune nozoite
"The time of darkness is near, but through it one light will live, and it is they who will be saved." Reiyn whispered, translating the inscription. She turned once more to face her two friends. "This does not leave this cavern. None of the others must know yet. This has been here centuries; it may be speaking of a time in the past. Remember, not a word to anyone!"

Kai stared, wide-eyed, at the statue. "The time of darkness is near," She repeated, "But what is "near" to an artifact that is centuries old? Is it reffering to a time long past? Or coming in the future?"

"I don't know. But you both have to promise me that not a word of this gets out to any of the other pack memers." Reiyn replied, her eyes dark.
"Sure. I promise." Tsu said, nodding.
"Kai?" Reiyn asked, cranium turning to face her.

"I promise," Kai said seriously. She didn't like the statue. Not at all.

"Okay then." Reiyn said. "We should move this thing out of here. I'll bring it to one of the fields. Help me get it onto the ledge?"
"Sure." Tsu replied, moving once more into the cavern. She moved behind the statue and started to push.
[[Not going to kill you... this time... Also, watch your grammar. I've found that oft you use "i" instead of "I". But, no matter. Just a reminder, 'kay?]]

"All right..." Kai said, and she too started to push the statue. I don't like this, I don't like this at all, she thought with every push. She didn't want to annoy her freind, though, so she made no comment.

Once the statue was on the ledge, Reiyn enveloped it in a black bubble, shielding it from the world. "I'll take this somewhere where none can find it. "I know you're both worried." she began. "But there's nothing that we can do about this now. The only ones who would know about this are Mira and Ket, and neither of them are with us. For now, sealing it is the only answer."
Tsu nodded. "Do you want us to come with you, Reiyn?"
Reiyn shook her head, sighing. "No. I should do this alone." she replied.

"Be careful," Kai said. She stared at the dark bubble. She hoped that the statue would be safe, for if another had found it, she had no clue what would happen.

Reiyn nodded and left the cavern. Tsu looked at Kai and said, "I hope this ends well..." She walked to the entrance of the cavern and stared out. It was raining.
